He has written for the New York Times, Rolling Stone and Sports Illustrated, and has been selected for the Best American Crime Writing anthology. He has twice been cited by Best American Sports Writing and is a contributing editor to Details.Ballad of the Whiskey Robber is his first book. He spent three years researching it and was the only non-Hungarian journalist allowed access to Attila Ambrus.
